Okay, I need some major assistance. I have to have these solutions impemented by tomorrow, of course, I was notified only late yesterday!

Here's what I need to do:

1. I have a MySQL database of shortcuts and descriptions to 900 files. We are changing our name, and rather than change all 900 files, we have a cover letter we want to encapsulate into the existing 900 files. Those files are already PDF files. Is there a way to open the cover letter and the pdf file, re-assemble them into a new pdf file, that will then be printable?

2. Among all my other chores, I have to re-design the website. Among these design change I am needing for users to be able to upload certain files. Can someone give me the quick run through? I've looked online and I didn't see anything that made much sense to me.

Please keep in mind that I am not a professional programmer and I have only basic newbie skills at the moment, but I am a quick study.
