I couldn't find a whatcounter sub forum huh.gif so I thought I would post here.

I just want to know of you can run the same whatcounter code (from one account is what I mean) over multiple sites. So for instance, ti already tracks one of my sites, what would happen if I added the code to another? I saw that there is space to add a new url, do I add it in there? And if I do, how are the stats for each site seperated in the interface? Or do I have to open up a new account?

Cheers.
leo
you should be able to see the forum now smile.gif

yeah you can put the code on as many sites as you like, you can either specify the domains that you'll be tracking, or just use the wildcard value to track any site you put the code on, which would to leave it blank smile.gif

Was this always here or am I going blind(er)? huh.gif

Just one other quick question, how are the stats for different sites seperated in the interface?
leo
yeah it's you mate, been here all the time laugh.gif naah, it's only visible to whatcounter group, of which you weren't part before

stats will be combined, the only individual stats will be the individual page visits, but i should ahve mentioned this before, if both sites have their main page is index.html then stats will be combined, you would need them to be different names.

If you want separate stats it's best to sign up for another account smile.gif

Fair enough. I tend to use awstats as well anyway which will give me ones for each site, I just like some of the extra stuff whatcounter gives you, it seems to pick up search engine and other referrals better than awstats.
leo
yeah, same here, awstats lays it out quite easily to read but it also logs some bots as visitors so the hits will be higher with awstats, whatcounter only logs real visitors which is what i'm after smile.gif

... real visitors that stick around...
