If I was to do a search on a random search engine for "boat", go to the 3rd page and click the 26th link, is that logged and fed into the engine, thereby adding to the 26th link's relevance for the search term "boat"?

Hopefully this isn't something that's plainly obvious, but it just dawned on me while looking at my search results blush.gif

They do monitor the click throughs on Google as from time to time you can see the tracking ID being added.

This would not influence the relevancy of a site though - be way to easy to manipulate.

Now that you said it, I think I have noticed that in the past. That makes sense that it wouldn't impact things, though.
