[FONT=Geneva] Hello! I just joined up this morning, and I'm already bugging you with questions :) I recently got a big surprise by being put in charge of my company's Extranet site. It's fun, but it's a load!

I was wondering if there is some way to alter the whatcounter code to track specific usernames, rather than just detecting unique users. The site is set up so that no one can access any page except default without logging in, so it seems like it would be pretty easy to do, but I just can't seem to find anyone who can tell me how to accomplish such a thing, or even give me a pointer in the right direction.

Is there any way to make whatcounter do this for me? Or can anyone give me any tips on how to set it up myself, or even just another place to look? I am extremely appreciative of anything you can offer to help!

hey tofasco, welcome to weborum and congratulations on getting the extranet smile.gif

It would be very difficult to get whatcounter to track specific users acitivity mainly becuase it's code isn't geared towards it. Are you wanting to just track logins or actually track which pages a particular users visits?

I'm not a programmer but i'm thinking along the lines of when a user logs in they get a cookie which a tracking system them logs which pages they visit.

I'll move this to php but ofcourse any severside language would do smile.gif
