Like I said with the A9 toolbar, it probably didn't take the Yahoo! guys too long to come up with a toolbar for Firefox, but the fact they did means that they consider Firefox to be more than a flash in the pan. With the competetion between search engines these days, I have to believe an official Google Firefox toolbar will be released soon. I wouldn't hold my breath about an MSN one, though

cool, ofcourse it' all a land grab, whoever can get their search tool closer to hand will normally get more searches. I don't particularly like googles results at the moment but i still use it through firefox.

Is yahoo recognising firefox or is just part of the SE wars, either way it doesn't harm firefox to have yahoo advertise it

Yup, good point, Leo. I would say it's a bit of both. Does Yahoo! have a bar for Opera?

I installed the bar, but I don't know if I'll keep it. It's got all kins of features, but most I don't care about. Plus the one feature it doesn't have is the ability to highlight the search words it found on the page like the Google bar does.

Yeah highlighting is pretty important! i don't think i'll bother trying it without that!
