Through a series of events, the MDAC version of one of our Windows 2K boxes got upgraded to 2.7. This managed to break a different piece of software on that machine. I tried installing 2.5 over it, but it will not let me. I found out you can revert to an older version of MDAC, but according to this article:

you cannot do it on a Win 2K machine short of reinstalling the OS. If we have to, we have to, but we'd rather not. Does anyone *cough* Willy *cough* know of a, um, workaround, to get MDAC reverted back to 2.5?

Heh, I forgot about it, too. We had a workaround so it's not really an issue anymore. I still wouldn't mind knowing, but it's not pressing
