I am looking for a USB hub that will split a usb modem between 2 computers, i want to buy a decent cheap one online and was hoping one of you could help me.

yea, bin around loads of computer shops yesterday. found out, i need ethernet so i need to contact my ISP to get a new modem, so i will have to wait for a bit longer now

you however don't need a new modem, you just setup one pc to send the internet to the others via the hub
for the ethernet all you need is ethernet cards in the pc's, some cable with rj45 plugs on them and a hub
